Drinks with Kate 2024 Pack 6
DWK Box 6 is here, with a bit of a Christmas/holiday theme as is appropriate at this time of year. As I’ll be in Argentina for a couple of weeks, we’ll start this box on Thursday 21st November, and I will be travelling on the 28th November, so a week’s break has been inserted there. This leaves us with just four Thursday’s until Christmas (I know!!!), so I have selected some very special treats from the museum. Many of these wines are the very last of what we have here, so this is absolutely a ‘last chance to see’ box. I have also selected things that will go well with the foods of the season – think Thanksgiving, then the pre-Christmas lead up in December. The first four wines we will drink together as usual on a Thursday at 6pm, but the final wine is a special bottle of the 2018 Robinson Pinot Noir for you to enjoy at Christmas. We have filled the hole in the box with a popcorn, because you’ll need a bowl of popcorn to accompany your favourite holiday movie. You are welcome!
And don’t worry, the food matches will be challenging, delicious, comforting and increasingly Christmassy.
Looking forward to enjoying our final box of the year with you. Can you believe we have made it through another year together?
Cheers,
Kate.

If you are new to the concept, it is pretty straightforward. Purchase the box, and then join Kate online for her live tastings each Thursday at 6pm on the Moorooduc Estate Live YouTube channel. We taste one wine, per week, and Kate will send you an email early that week to remind you which wine we are tasting, and what sort of food we should match to it.
This is a very different tasting experience than coming into cellar door – you make the rules in your own home – have a few nibbles with the wine pre-dinner or throw together a three course meal to enjoy. You can invite friends over, or just use it to bring the household together and ease into the weekend a day early…
We spend around 40 minutes catching up, and having a serious, but fun, taste of just one wine.
