2015 McIntyre Shiraz

2015 McIntyre Shiraz

The Wine.
Deep purple colour with richly perfumed nose of black violets, red plums, meaty richness and black peppercorns. A lovely core of rich dark fruit – plum and brambleberry – pepper and cardamom spice and firm, fine grained tannins on the finish.

Very perfumed yet savoury wine that will match well to spicy meaty dishes – slow cooked beef in star anise broth or mapo tofu would be perfect! Or simply grill a beautiful steak, mustard or horseradish on the side, and, of course, frites!

The 2015 Vintage.
A lovely vintage with great weather through the whole of the growing and ripening period, resulting in beautiful fruit, both white and red. The wines are well structured with delicious, crisp natural acidity, concentrated and balanced flavours and great length.
