Back vintages and current release wines on tasting this Thursday

Moorooduc Estate tasting in Collingwood this Thursday evening with Kate, and many wines!

MW Wines in Collingwood are putting on a Moorooduc Estate tasting this Thursday evening and they still have a few spots available, so we promised to pass on their tasting invitation to you.
This is what they said:

'Moorooduc Estate Masterclass July 13
“One of the Mornington Peninsula’s original wineries, Moorooduc Estate, is now making consistently elegant, flavoursome and silky-smooth wines from pinot noir and chardonnay with impressive regularity. Recent vintages have seen more perfume and brightness of fruit in the pinot noirs, each of which is improving significantly. Moorooduc’s top tier wines are from individual vineyards such as The Moorooduc and The Robinson Vineyard, while the company’s principal Chardonnay and Pinot Noir labels are generally sourced from two or three other sites in addition to the company’s main plantings.”
Jeremy Oliver (The Wine Annual)

In 1987 Dr Richard McIntyre fulfilled a dream to make his own wines, made with his own fruit, grown on his own estate. From a very humble 20 tonne rammed earth winery in the 80s they now have a much more fitting winery built in 2006 and their philosophy in everything they do is to make the most of top quality fruit. Intensive, hands-on care in the vineyard, with minimal use of chemicals, producing the best possible fruit for their wines. Wild yeast ferments and minimal intervention winemaking, with a nod to traditional Burgundian techniques, allow the wines to express their terroir.

Please join us at MW Wines for a Masterclass tasting hosted by Kate McIntyre MW focusing on the estates beautiful single vineyard Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.
